On Composing A Letter To Dave Mustaine Whilst Bathing

Posted by kristobaldude on February 11, 2012

I Megadeth al Gods of Metal 2007

Dave Mustaine

2012.02.11

I just had the most intriguing experience.  I awoke around 9am this morning, well rested and ready to start the day.  I felt a bm (bowel movement) coming on, which is a good thing because one of my goals is complete health and detoxification, which requires the appearance of at least 1 bm per day.  For the past decade I was lucky if I had one every third day!

Anyway, I did my business and as usual, going to bathroom aggravated my hemorrhoids.  For the record, since I’ve been taking God’s Herbs, there has been a noticeable difference in the elasticity of my anus and the level of swelling that occurs has been decreasing dramatically!

Another factor that seems to be speeding the healing is my use of an aloe gel that is safe for internal use (preferably organic), both to assist with thorough wiping and to apply as a cooling salve.  When hemorrhoids swell, they generate a lot of inflammation and heat.  The aloe soothes the inflammation and thus reduces the heat and irritation.

After having a go, I find a hot bath is very therapeutic, (in the dark, sometimes with incense burning as well) and directly effective in shrinking the hemorrhoids.

So there I was, lights off, with nothing but my own mind to keep me company, laying submerged, my face the only part of me sticking out.  Then my mind started open.  I began dwelling on how I can help the world.  What could I do to make a difference?

While contemplating these things, it occurred to me as a somewhat unexpected answer from the universal cosmic intelligence, of which we are all woven and interconnected to, that I could write to people I admire.  “How is that going to solve the world’s problems?”, I thought.  But, a voice, perhaps the voice of my higher self, for whom I am the avatar in this universe, and who guides me to my destiny, replied back: “Just do it.”

Relaxing in my tub, my mind could not help but to start working out solutions to my challenges.  The first somewhat profound thought that I had was that maybe what we call problems with a negative connotation, are really gifts of challenge.  It is as if a higher intelligence has said “Here’s a problem lots of people struggle with … I’m giving you the gift of that problem and your reward will be the satisfaction of finding the solution, and then teaching it to others.”

Wow.  Sometimes, I’m amazed at how much I grown from the negative person I used to be.  I don’t say this to brag, but rather to recognize and appreciate how far I’ve come on my journey, where I’m at, and where I’m going.

The next, final, and possibly weirdest thing that was revealed to me before my bath was over, was that I needed to write a letter to Dave Mustaine of the heavy metal band Megadeth.  Mr. Mustaine has always been a hero of mine ever since I discovered thrash metal music as a refuge and solace from the shitty world that was always against me (what I believed for a long time), in my High School years.

My mind began composing the letter while I soaked in sub-sauna temperatures:

Dear Dave,

Ever since I, like many of my generation, discovered your music as a high school student, you have been a great hero of mine.  As I’m sure you’ve heard from many others, your music got me through some really hard times when I felt alienated and estranged from the world.

I was moved to write you recently when I saw you performing with Metallica at their 30th anniversary event.  I don’t know if you’ll understand this because I don’t completely, but I almost cried and experienced a kind of catharsis when I saw you onstage with those whom you publicly despised for so long.

Perhaps what happens is we view our heroes as a sort of extended family member.  This may be why when we see celebrities whom we admire doing the wrong things, that we become disappointed in them, the same way we would in a brother or sister who’s messing up.  My prayers have been with you during your times of trouble with drugs, anger, and addiction.  Similarly, I have rejoiced of your triumphs including the birth of your son Justis, when you were trying to rid your demons with rehab, and when you played live with Metallica during the “Big Four” tour a few years ago.

I have never written a fan letter before, but something told me today “You need to write to Dave Mustaine” so here I am putting the pen to paper.  More to the point though, I wanted to tell you that when I saw you on stage playing with Lars, James, Ron McGovney, and Lloyd Grant, you really seemed to be having a great time.  It was as if you had finally put your burden down and forgiven those whom you had held a grudge against for so long (James and Lars).  Forgive me if this sounds weird, but in that moment, I wanted to hug you and tell you how proud I am of you.

In my own life I have come to realize something the most enlightened spiritual leaders have taught for many millennia:  When you forgive others who have wronged or hurt you in some way you are not saying “It was okay that you did that”, but rather you are releasing yourself from their control.  As the Christian theologian Lewis B. Smedes said: “To forgive is to set a prisoner free and realize that prisoner was you.”  A famous Indian revolutionary once uttered something I hold dear to my heart: “The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.”  That revolutionary’s name was Mohandas Gandhi-The Mahatma!

“The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.” –Mahatma Gandhi

I believe the impossible is always possible once we believe it so.  To that end, I plan on becoming a Millionaire in the next few months.  Subsequently, I am seeking opportunities for philanthropy and to really make a positive contribution to healing the world.

As a leader, one of my greatest strengths is being able to recognize the potential in others — to actually “see” who they have the power to be at their absolute best.  I know you have a good heart Dave, and you care about the world and the people in it.  To that end, I would like to offer you my services, If there is anything I can do to help you in your quest to help the world please don’t hesitate to ask.

I feel everything happens for a reason and there are no coincidences.  If you are meant to receive this letter, then it will be so.  If we are meant to work together for a greater purpose, then the universe will arrange itself to make that happen.  Regardless, I want to wish you the greatest blessings in your continued striving to be the best Dave you possibly can be!

Most Sincerely Yours,

Eric “Kristobaldude” Hepperle

Student, Teacher, Healer

Yeah, … crazy, huh?  Well, it needs a little polishing, but I’ll probably have it ready to send tomorrow and I’ll just have to find Dave’s address.

So, that’s all for now folks.  I’ll be sure to let you know what happens!

Have a fantastic day, and may you be blessed on your journey!
