LEDARE LED bulb E17 reflector R14 - IKEA

Becoming the first US home furnishing retailer to sell
only LED bulbs and lamps, IKEA sheds new light on
home sustainability practices with a bold move to go
100% LED by 2016.

“This LED initiative follows past IKEA US leadership actions such as the phase out of
plastic bags in 2007 and incandescent bulbs in 2010.”

Today, there is a wide range of LED bulbs available at IKEA that enable customers to easily change old incandescent bulbs to LED without changing the lamp base. LED lighting is, until now, one of the best-kept secrets in home furnishing sustainability:
  • If one million people changed one bulb each into LED, this would in terms of CO2 emissions correspond to taking almost 6,700 cars off the road, or planting 17 million trees per year.
  • The total annual cost saving (including purchase price and energy consumption cost) of switching one incandescent 40W bulb to a corresponding LED bulb, is approximately $6.25 (5.3 Euro) on average.
  • LED bulbs can last nearly 20 years. That’s about 20 times longer than a typical incandescent, 10 times longer than a typical halogen and twice as long as a typical CFL.
  • LED bulbs use substantially less power than incandescents or CFLs. Replacing existing lighting with LEDs can save between 50% and 90% of lighting energy costs.
  • LEDs can be used almost anywhere – in any room in the house or in any business. LED replacements are already available for many bulb types and can fit virtually all of your existing lamps.
  • A recently conducted survey of 6,000 consumers in China, Russia, Germany, UK, US and Sweden (July 2012*), showed that many are not aware of the benefits of LED; however 60% express an interest in LED as an energy saver, especially as energy bills generally rise and 20-25% of the electricity cost in the home comes from lighting. The survey was performed by YouGov for IKEA.
  • The U.S. Department of Energy has estimated that an increased adoption of LEDs over the next 15 years would:
    • Reduce electricity demands from lighting by 62 percent
    • Prevent 258 million metric tons of carbon emissions
    • Eliminate the need for 133 new power plants

Blender Comparison 2012: Vitamix 5200s vs Blendtec vs Ninja Professional vs HealthMaster

Posted by kristobaldude on August 18, 2012

Vitamix 5200s Review | Innovative Home Kitchen.

Vitamix 5200s

Vitamix 5200s

NOTE:  Vitamix 5200s is the same as the “Vitamix 5200 Standard“.

Greetings folks.  I’ve spent the better part of the morning so far today researching and reading reviews and comparisons of multifunction blenders including the Vitamix, Blendtec, Ninja and Montel’s Living Well HealthMaster.  Here’s a rating and summary of what I learned:

#1 – Vitamix – The best hands down with the best warranty (7 years standard) and customer service.  Costs the most, but often on sale for less than $400 at Costco.

#2 – Blendtec – Almost as good as Vitamix.  Trusted by Starbucks and smoothie shops world-wide.  Can be noisy and uses presets so speed control is more limited.

#3 – Ninja – (NOTE: We are of course referring the Ninja Professional, not the earlier Ninja, which seemed like a more advanced Magic Bullet) – A
decent blender that can do most blending tasks including  “…crush ice, blend fruits, blend vegetables, and make blended drinks…” (GotGreensRevolution.com), but only has 1 year warranty, not good for grinding grains or making hot soup.

#4 – Health Master – According to over 153/235 reviewers (65%) on Amazon.com this product is less than desirable.  This blender has been around for a while now.  Several reviews indicated worn bearings, rust, grease/oil leaking into smoothies, difficulty disassembling/reassembling multiple plastic components after cleaning, and many reports of overall failure within the first 3-6 months.  Talk show host and now infomercial spokesman Montel Williams began hawking this blender in 2009, but many customers believe it is a reincarnation of the Jack LaLanne Health Master 100; unfortunately, this blender seems to have inherited most of it’s predecessor’s defects, much to the consumers’ dismay.

One reviewer said about the the Jack LaLanne:

  •  “[T]he bearings at the bottom of the blender are completely inadequate. It never got wet from below. I was always careful about that. It still didn’t take long for the bearings to become shot. Liquid started to leak through and it rusted out. Now the whole thing is entirely useless. It lasted all of about 2 months for a total of probably 40 uses. That is totally unacceptable. The bearings just can’t keep up with the 150 HP electric engine.”

Here is a review excerpt about the Living Well HealthMaster:

Living Well HealthMaster with rusty base.

Living Well HealthMaster with rusty base

  • (Amazon.com, robert campbell) – “[December 17, 2009]This unit is a Jack La Lanne Healthmaster, redesigned with a new digital display, and costs more. I owned the Jack La Lanne, and within 6 months, the bearings stripped, and a rust color was dripping from the container, with the food being tainted by rust on the blades. I threw it out and bought a Vitamix. The same problems are beginning to surface with this machine problems develop either immediately or within 3 to 6 months of use. A neighbor, who loves Montel, and ignored my warnings, bought this machine through the healthmaster website. Within 3 days, the motor burnt out … This machine does what it is supposed to do, it makes good smoothies, but simply isn’t powerful enough and cannot handle the strain.”

And here is a recent review of the latest version — The HealthMaster Elite II — written this year (2012):

  • (Amazon.com, AK1989) – “To be clear, I purchased this Health Master Elite II (Montel’s blender) from the Montel Health Master website. The blender stopped working after two months of light use. I only made fruit smoothies which only requires to run the blender for one minute to make a smoothie. So the combined time for that two month period was approx 35 minutes. The motor appears to have stopped working, as an electrician that has installed numerous motors over a 30 year career, this is a sign of a bad motor/product.”

Given the above reviews and many others that I read today, I don’t think I’d feel comfortable in recommending the HealthMaster to ANYONE.  The manufactures apparently don’t care enough about their customers to make a decent product that lasts.

As to which blender is best I would have to agree with others who have said don’t waste your money on the pretenders — just buy the Vitamix, and if you live near a Costco you should be able to get a hefty discount (currently it’s mid-August and my local Costco is selling the Vitamix 5200s for $375 — that’s about a $50 savings of the cost of ordering it direct from the manufacturer!

Have you had any experience with any of these blenders?  If so, comment below and tell us what you liked, what you hated, how much it cost you, and let us know which units you would recommend to your friends!

Blessings and Peace 🙂

How the Origins of Vampires, Zombies, and the Collapse of Civilization Are Related

How the Origins of Vampires, Zombies, and the Collapse of Civilization Are Related

So, I was watching the above program on the feasibility and intention of the Cambridge (England) scientist Aubrey de Grey, to extend through science and gene therapy, the human ability to live for 250 to 1000 years.

I’m not going to talk about the merits of the video, though you should definitely watch it.  Instead, I’m going to layout some realizations that came to me in a flash as if by divine revelation:

1)  Zombies do and have existed in many forms throughout time.  This is not a joke.  To be clear, I’m not talking about sheeple.  I’m talking about folks who are dead, or nearly dead, but have an addiction to feed or consume some set of nutrients or chemicals, and like a shark, they are essentially feeding machines who can’t stop moving and consuming or they’ll die.  You could call this the “living dead” class of zombies.  They operate with a “hive-mind mentality” — all after the same thing and will do almost anything to get it if they think they won’t get caught or punished.

The closest thing we’ve seen to the traditional movie zombie is a crack-headCrack-heads are driven to obtain crack.  The crack is almost a form of life support.  Every living being has 3 main imperatives: to survive, to replicate, and to avoid pain.  Without crack every day an addict will start to feel extreme pain.  Therefore, they are driven by that need to avoid agony.  It is my conclusion that zombies have the exact same motivation.

However, there is another form of zombie which has mostly been ignored in the resurgence of the zombie cultural awareness.  That is the voodoo zombie.

This type was traditionally described as a recently deceased or buried person who was compelled by a magical power of some “master” or mistress to do their evil bidding.  It was felt in the the early stories from Haiti, where zombies are thought to have originated, that ultimately, the zombie was free of malice, they were however, compelled by a witch or sorcerer’s spell and literally had no control over the actions of their bodies.

It strikes me that around the same time zombie legends began to creep up, the famous science fiction authors, and the pioneers of modern chemistry, biology, and electromagnetic theory were publishing their books and papers.  Now, the hardcore skeptic (of which I’ve know my many), is likely to tell you something like “since there’s no such thing as monsters or the supernatural, let alone zombies, it must be that the zombie legend was a natural result of superstitious and imaginative people making up myths to explain things with perfectly reasonable explanations”.   While this is a perfectly rational argument, perhaps the type of understanding that is needed here is to understand history and the nature of man.

The way man is is the way man always has been.  Evolution aside, I’m talking about man behavior.  The set of emotions, feelings, motivations, actions and strategies man has experienced and employed since the dawn of time, are the same.  For instance, if we understand that, to paraphrase the Bible “Money and Greed are the root of all evil”, if we can see that in action today and know deep in our hearts that it is true by the empirical evidence of the corporatist society we live in, then it is not that hard, I think, to imagine that greed and the “love” of currency, capital, or in otherwords “stuff” has always been around since civilization began.

…..

Anyway, I’m out of time so I’ll scratch thes notes to finish :

************************************

Major Premise:  The first great example of these known evils of rampant growth and over-technologized society may have been the fabled Atlantis, or the lesser known, possibly 15,000 years earlier civilization of Lemuria.  The “mythological” beasts in Greek myths were not just stories.  They were results of 200-300 years of radioactive waste caused by Atlantis before it’s civilization cannibalized and then imploded itself.  Or maybe Atlantis did have a flying saucer and somebody ignorantly remove a reactor core for the warp drive and THAT is what ended their civ.

Onkalo, the Finnish underground nuclear waste storage facility looks remarkably like “The Hive” from the Resident Evil movies.  Additionally, the story of pandora’s box is really similar to what they say about Onkalo — that it’s worst enemy will be curious humans in the future trying to enter it to explore.  Can you not see them 100-300 years from now living in a new Eden basically, people thriving, war almost gone, people living off the land again. Only 500,000 people alive on the whole planet.  Then one day, some curious folks finally get the “temple” (what they think the waste facility is) open only to find basically nothing good.  No gold, no treasure.  Nothing … or so they thought.

Within days, though the radiation is hundreds of years old, it’s still powerful enough to be dangerous to humans, and the effects can definitely be seen.  People start to die a horrible, painful death beginning with parts of their bodies disintegrating, resembling zombies.  Wow!

So, what if the story of Pandora and her box of woes is actually a partially remembered tale of the technologically successful city/country/state of Atlantis, and of how sombody’s curiousity either set off a bomb or open some kind of toxic waste vaults that started killing everyone, and eventually leading to the demise of that civilization 1000 years before Plato wrote of it?  What if later, the library at Alexandria was burned to the ground to keep knowledge of the ancient highly-advanced (and highly dangerous) Atlanteans that was stored there, out of the hands of those who would use it to build weapons of mass destruction?

What if what Pandora was actually an organization, NOT a girl who the tale likes to scapegoat, who released toxic waste and chemicals, perhaps into the drinking water, and the sea caused animals and other life-forms to mutate?  What if, much as our scientists do now, Atlantis had scientists who were as advanced or more than the ones we know, who also experiemented on animals the way our society does.  Perhaps our great ancestors created these animal hybrids for various reasons, but they eventually got out of hand.  Whoever would deliberately build a lion that could fly has some serious issues.  Talk about Frankenstein syndrome!

And also, extrapolating further, what if an organization of concerned citizens similar to our Animal Liberation Front or PETA while trying to rescue and free the animals who were being experimented on, etc. ended up releasing man-made horrors into the world.  And what if that organization was called PANDORA?

A lot of whatif’s I know, but bear with me.  Like Edward Cayce, I don’t really have any choice right now.  I am writing, acting as a conduit for a greater conscience that needs this to be revealed.

Finally, to bring us back to Dr. de Grey, I think his ideas on life-extension and everything I know about zombies and vamires all play in.  There was a movie called “Mimic” in the late 90’s I believe starring Mira Sorvino.  It was about a female scientist who basically caused the end of civilization by creating a super virus.  Her intentions were good — she impregnated the virus with dna to eat a particular plague that was rampant at the time, in New York I think.  Anyway, the  disease-eater was engineered to evolve to counter and adaption that the plague may develop.  The virus was highly successful.  In fact, it eliminated the plague within months.  Only problem was, then it started to mimic other animals.  First targeting rats, then eventually evolving  in the course of a year to eating people.

The Resident Evil and I Am Legend movies illustrate easily how those with the best, most noblest intentions often do the most harm.  I think this is what can be said of Dr. de Grey.  More later…

So what are vampires?  How about a genetic life-extension test trials gone wrong.  Just as their are greedy corporations who love nothing better than to control all resources including wind, earth, water and fire, let alone your medicines and life-sustaining ability, I propose that the same types of folks with the same greed and power motivations existed on Atlantis as well.

In this scenario, the original test trials on humans created freaks and zombies, which was originally kept a secret from the public.  However, when the news eventually got out, the public (instead of being outraged), were complacent and forgiving because they felt that was a casualty of the war on aging.

Much as De Grey proposes gene therapy by utilizing programmed viruses as delivery mechanisms, I believe the first human vampires were created from a similar scientific breakthrough.

However, since the corruption level and greed of civilization’s leaders is proportional to the level of technological advancement, and inversely proportional to the amount of energy expended by the average citizen daily to obtain food and shelter, and the other basic daily needs, we can extrapolate that the same was so thousands of years ago on Atlantis as well.  We can then supposed a scenario that begins like what Dr. de Grey describes in the video above.  Where people, greedy and selfish by nature, had desires for immortality.  Well, what would happen here if everyone was immortal?  Nobody would have to do anything they didn’t want to because they wouldn’t be afraid of any consequences.  They also would have no need for  medicine, or pharaceuticals unless …

So, what Dr. de Grey proposes to do, wittingly or unwittingly, if successful, will go something like this:

  1. Great scientific breakthrough is made that should be beneficial to all mankind.
  2. Rich and Powerful get it and experience the benefits right away — poor peasantry told to wait because it’s in trials.
  3. Clinical trials last 10 – 20 years.
  4. Cure to aging is not released in full form.  Instead, a watered down doped version is released that only cures you for a little while.  The 20 years isn’t actually to make sure the medicine won’t harm anyone.  Rather, it is to give the corporations time to discover how to keep the new medicine from curing your fully.  This is because if it cures you fully, they believe, they will soon be out of business.  Thus, the final “approved” cure is designed to make you have to keep coming back for more.
  5. Those fortunate enough to be able to afford the aging cure medicine soon, easily become addicted to it, as that is what it was designed for.

Subsequently, it’s not that farfetched to imagine that a technological society such as Atlantis discovered “the fountain of youth”, so to speak, thousands of years ago.  And in their greed, they created humans with multi-century lifespans who eventually evolved to not need the medicine from the manufacturer, but instead to have a thirst for blood.  Maybe the vampire bat’s genes were spliced with human dna for some reason, in GMO food of millennia ago, by some ancient Monsanto, and the food eventually bit back.

Well, sleep is beckoning.  Let me know what you think.  Does this make sense?  For those of you who can remove the scientific dogma of “the burden of proof is on the claimant” and just feel the truth in my words, you are a special and psychically enlightened bunch indeed!

Much love and blessings,

EXTRA, EXTRA – Corrupt House Niggers Seize Marijuana Shipment And Beat Slaves To Please Their Master

Posted by kristobaldude on March 15, 2012

Anyone who is familiar with the term “house nigger“, (as I learned from the Autobiography of Malcom X as told to Alex Haley, creator of “Roots“) understands that this is a slave who doesn’t think he’s a slave anymore because he gets to sleep in the house with the master and wear fancy clothes and just overall enjoy a better standard of living than their other slave bretheren.

Part of the house nigger’s job is to make sure that the field slaves stay in line, and also to tell them that even though things are tough, if they just hang on EVENTUALLY things will get better.  Basically, he protects his master and his own standard of living by maintaining the status quot.  He understands intrinsically that for him to keep enjoying the way things our, his suffering bretheren will have to remain toiling in the field.  And he is fine with that.

In this case, the house nigger is the police chief, proud of doing the bidding of his master, which he thinks is “the law” or “the united states goverment”, but in actuality it is more accurately the corporatocracy of multinational conglomerate machines that, like a virus mixed cross-bred with a leech, sucks the world and it’s inhabitants dry, and then moves on to the next are with resources to abuse and exploit.

Sorry,  this is kindof a rant here, I know.  And this video is old.  But I was moved to say something and I’ve said my peace.  Comments are welcomed if you want to speak yours.

On Composing A Letter To Dave Mustaine Whilst Bathing

Posted by kristobaldude on February 11, 2012

I Megadeth al Gods of Metal 2007

Dave Mustaine

2012.02.11

I just had the most intriguing experience.  I awoke around 9am this morning, well rested and ready to start the day.  I felt a bm (bowel movement) coming on, which is a good thing because one of my goals is complete health and detoxification, which requires the appearance of at least 1 bm per day.  For the past decade I was lucky if I had one every third day!

Anyway, I did my business and as usual, going to bathroom aggravated my hemorrhoids.  For the record, since I’ve been taking God’s Herbs, there has been a noticeable difference in the elasticity of my anus and the level of swelling that occurs has been decreasing dramatically!

Another factor that seems to be speeding the healing is my use of an aloe gel that is safe for internal use (preferably organic), both to assist with thorough wiping and to apply as a cooling salve.  When hemorrhoids swell, they generate a lot of inflammation and heat.  The aloe soothes the inflammation and thus reduces the heat and irritation.

After having a go, I find a hot bath is very therapeutic, (in the dark, sometimes with incense burning as well) and directly effective in shrinking the hemorrhoids.

So there I was, lights off, with nothing but my own mind to keep me company, laying submerged, my face the only part of me sticking out.  Then my mind started open.  I began dwelling on how I can help the world.  What could I do to make a difference?

While contemplating these things, it occurred to me as a somewhat unexpected answer from the universal cosmic intelligence, of which we are all woven and interconnected to, that I could write to people I admire.  “How is that going to solve the world’s problems?”, I thought.  But, a voice, perhaps the voice of my higher self, for whom I am the avatar in this universe, and who guides me to my destiny, replied back: “Just do it.”

Relaxing in my tub, my mind could not help but to start working out solutions to my challenges.  The first somewhat profound thought that I had was that maybe what we call problems with a negative connotation, are really gifts of challenge.  It is as if a higher intelligence has said “Here’s a problem lots of people struggle with … I’m giving you the gift of that problem and your reward will be the satisfaction of finding the solution, and then teaching it to others.”

Wow.  Sometimes, I’m amazed at how much I grown from the negative person I used to be.  I don’t say this to brag, but rather to recognize and appreciate how far I’ve come on my journey, where I’m at, and where I’m going.

The next, final, and possibly weirdest thing that was revealed to me before my bath was over, was that I needed to write a letter to Dave Mustaine of the heavy metal band Megadeth.  Mr. Mustaine has always been a hero of mine ever since I discovered thrash metal music as a refuge and solace from the shitty world that was always against me (what I believed for a long time), in my High School years.

My mind began composing the letter while I soaked in sub-sauna temperatures:

Dear Dave,

Ever since I, like many of my generation, discovered your music as a high school student, you have been a great hero of mine.  As I’m sure you’ve heard from many others, your music got me through some really hard times when I felt alienated and estranged from the world.

I was moved to write you recently when I saw you performing with Metallica at their 30th anniversary event.  I don’t know if you’ll understand this because I don’t completely, but I almost cried and experienced a kind of catharsis when I saw you onstage with those whom you publicly despised for so long.

Perhaps what happens is we view our heroes as a sort of extended family member.  This may be why when we see celebrities whom we admire doing the wrong things, that we become disappointed in them, the same way we would in a brother or sister who’s messing up.  My prayers have been with you during your times of trouble with drugs, anger, and addiction.  Similarly, I have rejoiced of your triumphs including the birth of your son Justis, when you were trying to rid your demons with rehab, and when you played live with Metallica during the “Big Four” tour a few years ago.

I have never written a fan letter before, but something told me today “You need to write to Dave Mustaine” so here I am putting the pen to paper.  More to the point though, I wanted to tell you that when I saw you on stage playing with Lars, James, Ron McGovney, and Lloyd Grant, you really seemed to be having a great time.  It was as if you had finally put your burden down and forgiven those whom you had held a grudge against for so long (James and Lars).  Forgive me if this sounds weird, but in that moment, I wanted to hug you and tell you how proud I am of you.

In my own life I have come to realize something the most enlightened spiritual leaders have taught for many millennia:  When you forgive others who have wronged or hurt you in some way you are not saying “It was okay that you did that”, but rather you are releasing yourself from their control.  As the Christian theologian Lewis B. Smedes said: “To forgive is to set a prisoner free and realize that prisoner was you.”  A famous Indian revolutionary once uttered something I hold dear to my heart: “The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.”  That revolutionary’s name was Mohandas Gandhi-The Mahatma!

“The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.” –Mahatma Gandhi

I believe the impossible is always possible once we believe it so.  To that end, I plan on becoming a Millionaire in the next few months.  Subsequently, I am seeking opportunities for philanthropy and to really make a positive contribution to healing the world.

As a leader, one of my greatest strengths is being able to recognize the potential in others — to actually “see” who they have the power to be at their absolute best.  I know you have a good heart Dave, and you care about the world and the people in it.  To that end, I would like to offer you my services, If there is anything I can do to help you in your quest to help the world please don’t hesitate to ask.

I feel everything happens for a reason and there are no coincidences.  If you are meant to receive this letter, then it will be so.  If we are meant to work together for a greater purpose, then the universe will arrange itself to make that happen.  Regardless, I want to wish you the greatest blessings in your continued striving to be the best Dave you possibly can be!

Most Sincerely Yours,

Eric “Kristobaldude” Hepperle

Student, Teacher, Healer

Yeah, … crazy, huh?  Well, it needs a little polishing, but I’ll probably have it ready to send tomorrow and I’ll just have to find Dave’s address.

So, that’s all for now folks.  I’ll be sure to let you know what happens!

Have a fantastic day, and may you be blessed on your journey!

How Long Does It Really Take To Create and Finish A New Blog Post?

Posted by kristobaldude on January 22, 2012

English: This image is a reproduction of an or...

01/22/12

I don’t  know about everyone else, but it takes me either all day or all week.  For instance, I have a journal-type post for one of my blogs (rawlifewizard)that was pre-rough-drafted/conceptualized (I’m not really sure what the academic term is for this) on Jan 15th (exactly a week ago).  But, because I work a full-time job, and I’m trying to excel at work, I’m putting in over 10 hours extra at work weekly, resulting in way more sitting than is  recommended for health.  However, in my job, I’m really doing one of my great loves which is web development.  I’m not complaining.

On top of that I’m checking into opportunities for finishing my Master’s Degree online.  Any of you who’ve ever pursued an undergraduate degree will understand that, with all the paperwork and application submissions and essays for financial aid this is a whole project in and of itself.

I’m also concurrently reading up on and doing home study tutorials on various computer science topics and technologies to enhance my knowledge and improve my earning power.  I am recruiting my friends who have web development and design education to come work for my company, which is in growth mode currently.

If that wasn’t enough, I’ve also begun a quest to master these items simultaneously, (but in actual practice it’s more akin to dynamic multithreading).  Here are the main topics I’ve chosen to concentrate on:

Those are the main topics. I’ve decided that I’m not satisfied with being a “Jack-Of-All-Trades” because everyone knows the rest of the phrase is “Master of none”.  I see the fact that I haven’t mastered much in my life, nor lived up to the potential for certain greatness I KNOW is within me, as disservice to my inner self.  I  choose the path, not to impress anyone else, but solely because it is what I feel I must do.  I can’t explain it, but I am called to a great purpose.  I am to be a teacher and a healer, and since I have finally rebuilt my emotional workings, and thrown off the shackles of hate and learned instead to embrace love and gratitude, I have already begun mentoring and counseling others to help them find their way on the great path.  I have found one of the best ways to learn is to teach.  Ironic, isn’t it?  But it has been my experience that when you can teach something to someone else in a way that they understand, you thereby reinforce your own understanding of the concept.
Some of my more specific, focused areas of interest are:

  • History of Money, Trade, & Currency
  • Cryptography, Codes & Code-breaking
  • History and Origins of Slavery
  • History of Collapse of Complex Societies
  • History of Disease & Evolutionary Medicine
  • Histories of Indigenous Peoples & Their Dispossession
  • Natural Medicine & Ancient Healing Technologies
  • Commonalities Between Monarchies, The Holy Roman Church, and Corporations
  • Unexplained Phenomena & The Supernatural as science that we just don’t understand yet.

I plan to publish papers and perhaps books on these topics.  As a non-fiction author, Isaac Asimov is a great model for how I will write my books.  See Asimov On Numbers and Asimov’s Chronology of the World for good examples of his scientific, yet easily digestible writing style.

But above all else, my health is top of the list.  I’ve had digestive and eliminative problems since 1999 and I think this God’s Herbs fruit fast is the answer to my prayers.  The only side-effect is when my body goes into detox mode, I think it shuts down thinking mode and therefore that is why I get tired and fall asleep after ingesting.  This means I’m unable to get as much done as I would like.  I am a multitasker by nature.  But I wonder if maybe I’m just trying to do too much too fast?

Now, yesterday I made time to do some writing.  Unfortunately HOLLYWOOD/BIG ENTERTAINMENT are trying to push a bill that would essentially give them a monopolistic control over the internet and they’re doing it under the guise of an “Anti-Piracy” bill (SOPA/PIPA).  There was a big online blackout where several prominent websites spearheaded by Wikipedia went dark in protest of the bill.  That’s all great and it had a great effect by temporarily preventing the passage of those creativity-devastating bills, but many of the folks who protested and such don’t realize IT’S NOT OVER YET!  The bills were’nt killed — only postponed.

So, I spent yesterday writing a two-page email to my congresspersons which I submitted through a web form from an activist group for expediency.  That was time I had allotted to do my blogging.  But with this fast I’m on, and the fact that I sometimes have hemorrhoids and it hurts my butthole to sit for long periods of time ( greater than 2 hours) can be a barrier to writing production and how many blog posts I can complete.

EXCUSES AND JUSTIFICATIONS ASIDE …

Here are the steps I usually take when producing a blog post:

  1. Brainstorm the topics content of the blog. (30 min)
  2. Write the article text in MS Word.  A large chunk of this time is devoted to fact-checking any statements of fact and just making sure that the information I am publishing is accurate to the best of my knowledge.  (2-4 hrs)
  3. Proofread and correct spelling errors (1.5 hrs) (NOTE: by this time, I’m usually already tired, but still I push on …)
  4. Identify keywords and bold them, then decide which terms will be hyperlinked, and to what.  This step often takes as long as it took to write the article text because I have to research and Google for the most appropriate, and usually most thorough and concise link. (2-3 hrs)
  5. Apply text and layout styles and formatting (30-45 min)
  6. Locate images and position within the blog (1-2 hrs)

So there you have it …  Basically, to produce a blog post that I am satisfied with and proud to publish, I essentially have to sacrifice the day to blogging only.  I don’t have professional schooling as a writer or a blogger … this is just the process that intuitively makes sense to me.  However, I am interested in hearing how you guys and gals with blogs of your own produce your stuff.  Short of hiring a secretary, I think I’m pretty much doing the best I can.  But, I would be interested in any tips you might have to cut the time in half.  For me the biggest time-eater is all the research I do to ensure my statements are accurate.  Accuracy is important to me and I feel it says something about you as a responsible individual that you took the time to make sure you weren’t just spreading gossip and falsehoods that you heard were true from a friend who heard it from a friend, etc.

If there is an easier way to produce a decent blog post in less than a day, by yourself, I don’t know what it is — but I’m open to suggestion.

(BTW:  If you’re at all curious this post took me 3.5 hours to produce.  Note there are no images and no facts that I need to back up.  I also didnt’ add any text or layout formatting.  There may be spelling errors as well)

Next time perhaps we will look at how to integrate your WordPress blog so it automatically posts to Facebook … or maybe we’ll examine the Evil that Monsanto is generating in the world by trying to patent living organisms and we’ll find out who the supreme court justices were that ruled that organisms could be property, instituting a new form of hi-tech slavery.  I haven’t decided yet …

**** I was just informed that my good friend’s son just got kicked in the head by a horse.  Please, I ask all of you to pray for Chayse and send healing loving energy his way.  Thank you my friends.  You are all beautiful souls! ****

Regards,

Kristobal

Day 3 of Fruit Fast: Conditioning and Fasting

Conditioning and Fasting

12/28/11

Well today was day 3 of my first month of fruit fasting.  It wasn’t too bad.  I have been on vacation from work this week.  Forgive me if this reads like a kindergartener wrote it, but I’m in pain at the moment so my thoughts are being pulled in various directions.

So, right now (4:38 pm CST), I feel mildly bloated, like I have to pee but can’t.  To me, based on over 200 of Dr. Morse’s videos that I have watched online, I would say that my right kidney is constipated and possibly adrenals.  Although another representative told me that if my blood pressure in both arms was 120-130/60-70 then it’s not adrenals.  I’m not sure that was accurate.

I have this whole week off so I reorganized my room, finally bought a TV, ordered Detox weeks 1 & 2  (should arrive by next Friday at the latest) from God’s Herbs/Nature’s Botanical Pharmacy, hung my ropelights so they illuminate the whole room very well, bought some tools from home depot, bought stuff for my pvc shoulder pole project, bought apples and grapes, threw out all my other food to eliminate the temptation, asked 3 girls for their phone number, began my fruit fast, bought a UPS and a wireless keyboard, ordered an area rug with guitars and such on it … Needless to say, I’ve definitely been busy!

Anyway, I’d like to tell you about a somewhat frightening thing that occurred earlier.  I had been typing at my computer – really hadn’t felt hungry all day, so I also hadn’t eaten anything.  I got up from my chair to leave to room for something and I instantly had this weird “spiritual” experience.  That’s the best way I can explain it right now.  Immediately after rising I found my head experience a strange sort of dizziness … almost like my head was swimming in some magical fluid with a sort of buoyancy and a vibrating aspect as well.  It wasn’t unpleasant, what came next could have been dangerous had it happened somewhere else though.

Within about 3 to 5 seconds after experiencing the weird dizziness I felt myself falling, as if paralyzed without pain, almost like being really high on salvia.  This has been occurring in very short bursts (about 3 times so far), since I began my fast 3 days ago, but this time was definitely the most intense thus far.  I found myself falling, like timber, toward my closed door.  I reached out with the intent to brace myself on the door frame, which worked for about 2 seconds.  Here’s where the weirdness comes in.  One moment, I was braced (with my arms out in front of me to keep my face from hitting the door) after falling, at a 30 degree angle to the door.  The next thing I knew, I was on my knees, on the floor with my hands on the floor and feeling the pain where my forehead had slammed into the door.  What the Fuck?

I don’t know if this is what happened, but to me, it seemed like my mind/soul left my body for months or days, then re-entered it again, only seconds later than the original space-time marker at which it left.  Was this astral-travel?  Did I just quantum jump accidentally?

Now I don’t know if quantum jumping and astral travel or out-of-body experiences are the same or related or what.  My mom only recently introduced me to the term “quantum jumping” and I really have no idea what that is.  It actually sounds like somebody is naming something based on the old time-travel TV seriesQuantum Leap”.   I don’t know much about these subjects yet, however I plan to know more soon!

(P.S.:  Here is one of the most honest and informative articles on fasting I have yet found online:  http://www.doctoryourself.com/juicefast.html)

Be blessed and have a pleasant journey my friends!
